What is it?

This special series of coating powders has been developed to facilitate surface cleaning.
The high resistance to soiling is given by specific additives put inside the powder composition.

The anti-graffiti properties have been tested according to the international standard UNI 11246, which establishes the methods to determine the resistance to contamination. Anti-graffiti coating

It costs billions of dollars a year to remove graffiti from buildings. Many cities have started anti-graffiti programs, but vandalism remains a problem. Companies around the world are working to develop coatings to prevent vandalism from damaging public and private property [1]. The coating to be developed can be the paint itself, or a clear coat applied over existing paint or building facades. Different coatings offer different strengths and weaknesses, depending on the substrate and the severity of the graffiti.

There are two common colors in use today. The first are water-based paints such as latex and acrylic paints, and the second are oil-based paints. Your choice of color depends on the substrate you are painting and the final result you want. All colors have the same basic structure:

Pigment - This is part of the color we see. Pigments give the paint its opacity and color. All color pigments contain a white titanium dioxide base. Dyes are added to the pigments to achieve the desired color.

Binder - Binder is the glue that holds paint together. This is usually a polymer that polymerizes when dry to keep the pigments uniform and adhere to the substrate.

Solvent - This is the bulk of the paint and is used to make the paint work when wet. After the paint is applied to the surface, the solvent evaporates and the pigment and binder coalesce to form an even coating. The solvent is water for water-based paints and oil for oil-based paints. There is practically no chemical bond between the

paint and the underlying surface. Colors adhere only with physical force, like van der Waals. When paint is first applied to a surface, it is applied as a thick wet layer. As the solvent evaporates, the attracted pigment flakes build up in layers. The binder essentially polymerizes and holds the pigment sheets together. What remains is an even coating of binder and pigment. Anti-graffiti coating prevents paint from sticking to the surface.

Anti-graffiti powder coating

Permanent Anti-graffiti coating

Permanent anti-graffiti coatings are often more expensive than sacrificial coatings, but they only need to be applied once if used correctly. In the long run, it is often worth it in terms of less maintenance, upkeep and reapplication.

Permanent Anti-Graffiti Coatings work by creating a protective surface to which spray paint cannot adhere. After the surface is destroyed, use the solvent or cleaning agent provided by the manufacturer to remove the graffiti. Cleaning is often as easy as regular maintenance. The

substrate and protective coating should not be damaged. Types of permanent coatings include those based on polyurethanes, nanoparticles, fluorocarbons, or siloxanes.

NanoSlic NS 240 belongs to the category of permanent anti-graffiti coatings. Ceramics use a primary binder polymer composed primarily of silica. As the coating cures, the highly non-polar molecules align to form an aesthetic surface.

Unlike other anti-graffiti coatings, the surface has both hydrophobic and oleophobic properties similar to polytetrafluoroethylene (Teflon). Completely resistant to all types of paints and inks. Any remaining paint residue can be easily washed off.
